Organized for the first time this year under the sponsorship of Arvento, Turkey’s leading vehicle tracking system, and Brisa, the mobility leader of the tire industry, “Digital Fleet Meetings” brought together industry leaders at Zorlu Center.
The event, which aims to create a culture in the fleet management sector by disseminating the best practices in this field, has the potential to be a turning point in this field with its approach to inspire industry professionals to develop effective and efficient management processes against the challenges of the future.
Digital Fleet Meetings 2023 was attended by over 300 industry professionals, including executives from commercial vehicle fleets as well as OEM and mobility companies, people responsible for fleet management operations, business development and strategy managers, and R&D managers.
The event started with the speeches of Mr. Özer Hıncal, General Manager of Arvento and Mr. Evren Güzel, Assistant General Manager of Marketing and International Markets at Brisa.

In his speech, Evren Güzel, Assistant General Manager of Marketing and International Markets at Brisa, said that in collaboration with Arvento, they receive the mobility data of fleets and process it with data analytics. “We provide consultancy to fleets with programs that will reduce costs such as when a tire entered the fleet, at what stage of its life, when it needs rotation, when it needs to be replaced, when it needs to be retreaded. We can even provide data such as how the driving style of the driver affects the costs. Thus, we guarantee operational efficiency, safety and profitability in fleets.” He said.
Telematics in the new era: From Data to Vision
After the opening speeches and Serdar Kuzuloğlu’s presentation, the first session of the Digital Fleet Meetings under the title “Tomorrow of Telematics” was moderated by Özer Hıncal, General Manager of Arvento. Focusing on the importance of processing user data and drawing attention to the future role of shared mobility and connected vehicles, Talha Sagiroglu, Leader of Ford Otosan Connectivity Center of Excellence, shared information about the cost and political repercussions of the postponement of electrification in the automotive sector. Alim Küçükpehlivan, CEO of Başarsoft, explained the evolution of mapping technologies, while Onur Canıtez, Regional Sales Director at Quectel Wireless Solutions, discussed the potential transformations of 5G in the telematics industry.
The role of technology in safe and efficient fleets
In the second session titled “New Technologies for Safer & More Economical Fleets” moderated by Halit Bolkan, HED Academy Managing Director Özgür Şener emphasized the importance of driver errors and traffic accidents. Can Kurtuluş, CTO of Eatron Technologies, shed light on the future of driverless vehicles. Optiyol Co-Founder Dr. Ozan Gözbaşı emphasized the critical role of route optimizations in fleet efficiency, while ALD Automotive | LeasePlan Turkey General Manager Türkay Oktay explained the cost dynamics in the fleet sector and the rise of electric vehicles.
Building the mobility of the future
In the last session of the event, “The Future of Mobility”, future transportation solutions were discussed under the moderation of Dr. E. Serdar Gökpınar. Maurizio Stecco, General Manager of Commercial Products Planning at Bridgestone Europe NV/SA, focused on the development of tire technologies to reduce carbon emissions. TEMSA CEO Tolga Kaan Doğancıoğlu discussed the transformation created by electric and hydrogen vehicles. İbrahim Özgür Yıldırım, CEO of Kordsa, discussed the future of vehicle material technologies, and Serdar Urçar, CEO of Comodif, talked about the effects of digitalization on the automotive and transportation sectors.
